Over the past year or so, Fun in Jerusalem has been expanding its resources for individuals who are interested in celebrating a Bar or Bat Mitzvah in Jerusalem. Fun in Jerusalem, is a site dedicated to fun things for families to do in Jerusalem. For both locals and tourists. They noted a need in listing interesting locations to hold a celebration.

Tourist Celebrations in Jerusalem and environs

In addition, families often come to Jerusalem especially to celebrate these milestones. Either from outside of Israel or even just outside of Jerusalem. Usually that means that a family will want to spend the day in Jerusalem. They will want to find activities appropriate to the whole family. Indeed, we have had a number of orders from families who have come to Israel to celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. For example the Kotel cover bencher shared in this post about bencher cover designs, is one order from a family celebrating their Bar/Bat Mitzvah in Israel.

These families, as well as other families coming to Jerusalem for their celebration, want their celebration, travel and its activities to be unique. They want to  make a special occasion memorable.

Fun in Jerusalem Bar and Bat Mitzvah Guides

Fun in Jerusalem has a good list of things both in and  in close proximity to Jerusalem. To get an idea of the types of interesting things you can find in the guides, we have a great guest post by Joanna from Fun in Jerusalem. The post, Teaching Jerusalem One Footstep at a Time,  written for Mitzvot Unplugged, gives an idea of some of the interesting things you can find on their site and in their guide. Although obviously the guide is specific to the context of Bar and Bat Mitzvah.
