I thought making slippers or shoes for Yom Kippur would be a fun project to help teach about the things you don’t do on on this holiday. I have several posts of shoe construction on the site which we did for bears and dolls, but which can be adapted for children.

Simple paper slipper: We made some cardboard and electric tape flip flops but I never posted about them. However, here is a lovely post with hand made paper shoes which are quite pretty. I stumbled onto this post through The Crafty Crow and it seems perfect for a pre Yom Kippur craft.
