We made blue and white cornettos for Yom Haatzmaut, Israel’s independence day. Cornettos are the packaged ice cream cones usually with chocolate coating in the cone and nuts and chocolate on top. My kids enjoy them from time to time. Our versions were a big hit.
We put blue food coloring into a container,
We mixed…
And Mixed…and mixed.
We prepared our cones by melting chocolate and then adding the melted chocolate to the inside of the cones. We froze the cones while we mixed the ice cream.
My three year old added the chocolate into the cone. We put vanilla white on the bottom of the cone, blue vanilla on top and drizzled coconut on top. This gave the cones a blue and white effect. All in all a fun and yummy project for Yom Haatzmaut.
