Congratulations to the simcha logo contest winners!

November 2nd, 2009 — 12:25pm

simcha-logo-winnersCongratulations to George Daniel Frankel and Levi Orentliker who are the winners of our contest. George Daniel Frankel will receive the simcha logo design and Levi Orentliker will receive $18 off an order on the Birkat Chaverim website. Please be in touch to follow up about your prizes.

These winners were chosen at random. Originally, I thought it would be fun to use social media to have the numbers chosen. I asked on facebook for friends to select random numbers. Friends, however, responded that I should just use random.org so in the end, I did. It might have been cooler to have people choose the numbers at random, but the end result is the same!

Congratulations!

Reminder! Simcha Logo Giveaway

September 24th, 2009 — 6:01pm

simcha logo giveawayJust a reminder that the simcha (celebration) logo give away is still on. One simcha logo and a runners up prize of $18 off a purchase here are up for grabs. Useful to anyone who is celebrating a rite of passage so feel free to send a friend a link to the contest. See the post about the contest for full details of the contest.

The recent news of the IRS/US Treasury extending the date for submission of the FBAR and amnesty to Americans with unreported foreign accounts (that according to US law require reporting) has led me to think that it may be worthwhile to extend the contest a bit. The  extension for the FBAR was to help people who had trouble getting all their paperwork together in a timely fashion, and I am thinking that during holiday season people may have a similar problem. I’ll keep you posted about that.

Contests

July 5th, 2009 — 10:14am

It seems that blogs often have contests. I am thinking about having one here or on the Facebook page but I am not sure yet what that would entail. I have an idea of something like one free logo or card design, or a coupon towards the purchase of a Bnei Akiva Birkon.

Blog contests often include asking people to comment on products or to create a comment with contact information. Sometimes it involves finding things on the facebook page or site.

I think the contest would have to wait until after the three weeks, but I am open to suggestions regarding what would be fun or worthwhile. Please leave a comment or send an email via our contact form.
